The front end is from a Honda Firestorm as the original forks were quite tired, This front end had the added bonus of coming with a CNC top yoke conversion already in place. A Suzuki front wheel was then added into the mix, the firestorm calipers rebuilt with new pads etc. A new Continental TKC80 fitted, a bespoke hand beaten front mudguard, new renthal bars, new Biltwell grips, New radial master cylinders for front brakes and clutch along with new braided lines. A new led Headlight with one off bespoke aluminium housing and mounting bracket. New bar end indicators and a new Danmoto digital speedo.
The tank as said is from a recent Triumph Scrambler, there's no badges or knee pads on the tank but i do have them if the new owner wants them. This was originally painted black but i was never happy with finish so thought i'd rub it down and start again. As i rubbed this down i went through the black into the primers and onto bare metal in some places and absolutely the way the tank looked so had the tank sprayed in 2k Lacquer to preserve this patina'd look. A new petrol cap was added along with a sight tube for the petrol level and a new old style triumph petrol tap. There's no reserve on the tap hance the sight tube.
The engine has been checked over, cleaned and repainted. The carbs where cleaned and have new foam filters. The exhaust is a one off by us ending in 2 stainless cans. Yes, its loud and gives off the sound that only a triple can sound, glorious. New oils and filters and plugs. The battery, a heavy duty gel type from a Yamaha R1 has been mounted in front of the engine but behind a new aluminium bash plate. This battery provides plenty of cranking power which these bikes need to stop the problems with the sprag clutch. I've been told by the previous owner the conversion to stop this has been done, i can't prove this though but see no doubt to not believe him. This engine can be considered to have done a fair few miles but don't let that put you off, apart from the sprag clutch these engines are known for being over engineered and from the checks i've done this engine is Sweet with a capital "S" The rear end has a new YSS shock on rebuilt linkages, a matching Suzuki rear wheel to match the front with a continental TKC80 tyre. The subframe is a one off bespoke item made especially for this bike to mount the new tank but to also mount the new seat thats been made for this bike..again. The tail light is a new LED one, the side mounted plate is a small black and silver one, illegal really as the bike isn't old enough but i will include the original plate in the sale of the bike to make it all legal. The rearsets are new mounted on bespoke billet aluminium plates, the rear brake master cylinder is also new with a new braided hose too.
Please study the pics as i'm sure to have forgotten things. It's been shown at a couple of shows, kickback and motorcycle social where it's had crowds around it oo'ing and arrr'ing over it.
